The shape of the sharpening stone makes it mush easier to hold and use than flat stones, for people with arthritic hands.

Brilliant, I had one of these stones years ago.Great for sickles and other curved blades, OK for straight cutting edges too though a flat stone is better for shears, its still OK though, can''t fault it really
